City of Tybee Island Public Safety Committee 10-22-2020 In Attendance: Shawn Gillen, John Branigin, Pete Gulbronson, Robert Bryson, Matt Harrell, Walter Hattrich, William Mosely, Monty Parks John Branigin made a motion to approve the Draft Minutes from Sept 24, 2020. Pete Gulbronson seconded. Motion passed. Speed-Humps – Pete Gulbronson is ordering more. Campbell letters came back and they are in the process of tallying. Letters going out for one near Alley 3. Matt Harrell TIFD – winding down season Nov. 1st. Will be using firefighters as lifeguards as needed. Calls up significantly for the year. Up 39%. TIPD – Sept. traffic count was a record-breaker. There was a stick-up, which is unusual for the island. PD have plans, officers, and equipment in place to catch the culprit. Lots of training happening to stay up on certifications. Still trying to fill the full-time and a part-time Code Enforcement positions. Future Meetings for 2020 – will schedule as needed. Motion to Adjourn – John Branigin. Peter Gulbronson seconded.
