Main Street/ Development Authority Board of Directors Meeting Minutes Date & Time: October, 26, 2022 4PM Absent: Beth Martin, Kelly Swope, Observers: Katherine Williams (Forever Present: Dillon Patel, Michael Flores, Sarah Tybee) Bernzott, Cate Campbell, Bill Garbett, Susan Kelleher, Jay Burke, Charissa Location: Public Safety Conference Room Murray, Sue Jackson, Jackie Boiling, Cate Campbell Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 4:01PM. Approval of Minutes Minutes for the October 26, 2022 meeting passed with a motion from Susan Kelleher and a second from Cate Campbell. Old Business None New Business 1. Polar Plunge- Tybee Post Theater approached Main Street about taking over the Polar Plunge. Main Street needs approval of the board to take over. Cassidi will meet with Evan Goetz to get further event details. Main Street gets 70% of funds 30% of the funds go to the Post Theater. Usually a $10,000 fundraiser for the Post. Main Street will be shadowing this year. Board approved this with one member opposed. Updates Program- Currently working with the Tybee Marine Science Center to coordinate their ribbon cutting ceremony. We will be interviewing a new intern for next semester, it will be another hybrid position focusing on marketing. Design- Pete Gulbronson, Director of Public Works, attended the last meeting to go over the holiday decorating schedule and some available funds in the DPW budget for street furniture and landscaping improvements for the south end business district. The contract with Arnett Muldrow will be finalized soon, and we are planning the first site visit. Economic Vitality- Market analysis and leakage report from GA Power was received. Promotion- The Main Street Meet Up at Dunes Inn was very successful. Beth is working with Rosie about the holiday ornaments with the welcome sign as the design. Vendor spots are full for the Holiday Market. Cassidi is working on the schedule for the Christmas Tree Lighting. We are also finalizing the kids activities and gift wrapping station. Restaurant week will be January 16- 30th 2023.
