Public Comments
Mr. Matt Griffin, who lives at 150 Berry Lane, spoke regarding alcohol at public events and parks.
He introduced himself as a former candidate for Town Council and business owner. He stated that
he was disappointed after reading the minutes from the Council retreat meeting on March 18, 2021.
He believed that alcohol sales would drive attendance in the park for events. As an example, Mr.
Griffin stated that he attended the 2019 Founder’s Day event and then ate at Wings & Things in
Tyrone. He expressed that some of the same people who attended Founder’s Day were drinking
alcoholic beverages at Wings & Things because they could not drink at the park. Lastly, he stated
that he was in favor of alcohol at events, and many constituents of the Town were also in favor.
