AUTERI: The first item on the 15 agenda is the approval of the meeting minutes for 16 the August 3rd, 2022, Board of Commissioners 17 meeting. ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4, ARTICLE XIII, 13 SECTION 65, TO UPDATE THE TABLE OF ORGANIZATION 14 FOR THE UNION CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT.) 15 16 MR. AUTERI: Next on the agenda are 17 ordinances for introduction. Adoption on the 18 first reading authorizes the Municipal Clerk to 19 advertise the Ordinance(s) with a notice of the 20 introduction, together with a notice of the time 21 and place where the ordinance will be considered 22 for final passage. This ordinance will be further 23 considered at a meeting the Board of Commissioners 24 to be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the 25 Roosevelt School, 4507 Hudson Avenue, Union City, 6 1 New Jersey, at 7:00 p.m. 2 It is an ordinance amending Chapter 4, 3 Article 13, Section 65, to update the table of 4 organization for the Union City Police Department. 5 May I have a motion to introduce? 6 MAYOR STACK: Motion. 7 COMMISSIONER MARTINETTI: Second. 8 MR. All this ordinance 20 will do and I know it's not the hearing yet, but 21 just for everybody's knowledge, all this is 22 ordinance will do is eliminate the rank of 23 inspector in the police department, which is a 24 rank between captain and chief. And instead of 25 having an inspector, now we'll have a fourth -- 7 1 instead of having three captains, we'll eliminate 2 the inspector, we'll go to a fourth captain, which 3 will give us a captain in a patrol division seven 4 days a week, we'll have a captain working at the 5 most needed times in the City, additional 6 supervision. 7 MR.
