January 21, 2020 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING URBANA ARTS AND CULTURE COMMISSION APPROVED DATE: January 21, 2020 TIME: 4:30 P.M PLACE: Analog, 129 N Race St, Urbana, Illinois 61801 MEMBERS PRESENT: Barbara Hedlund, Luis Gonzalo Pinilla, Patricia Sammann, Jared Miller, Angela Williams MEMBERS ABSENT: Jenelle Orcherton, Courtney Becks, Frank Modica STAFF PRESENT: Rachel Storm, Arts & Culture Coordinator OTHERS PRESENT: 1. CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL AND DECLARATION OF QUORUM The Urbana Arts and Culture Commission was called to order at 4:37pm by Mr. Jared Miller. In the absence of roll called, members stated their names for the audio recording. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Approval of minutes from December 10, 2019 were postponed until the next Arts and Culture Commission meeting. 3. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA There were none. 4. PUBLIC INPUT There was none. 5. PRESENTATIONS • History of Urbana Arts and Culture Commission – Patricia Sammann, Chair Ms. Sammann presented on the history and beginnings of the (then) Urbana Public Arts Program, and how it had transformed to the (now) Urbana Arts and Culture Program.  January 21, 2020 • A Review of the Last 3 Years – Rachel L Storm, Arts and Culture Coordinator Ms. Storm presented an overview of programs, projects, and goals she has implemented and continues to grow as the Arts and Culture Coordinator over the last 3 years. 6.
