CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL AND DECLARATION OF QUORUM The Urbana Arts and Culture Commission was called to order at 4:32 P.M by Sammann. Hicks-Layman took roll and a quorum was declared present. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Sammann moved to approve minutes from December 8th, 2020. Modica seconded. With no changes, all were in favor and minutes were approved. 3. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA Storm announced that Commissioner Angela Williams had resigned and that there will be a call to fill the vacancy. The final report presentation for Boneyard Arts Festival 2019 was removed from the Agenda. 4. PUBLIC INPUT There was none.  January 12, 2021 5. PRESENTATIONS • Staff Report – Rachel L Storm, Urbana Arts and Culture Coordinator Storm presented the monthly staff report. This report included an announcement about staffing changes as well as updates on the Executive Internship Program through the Urbana School District #116. The report also included updates on upcoming and ongoing program initiatives. Storm announced that the deadline for Tier’s I and II for the 2021 cycle of Urbana Arts Grants had been extended to January 24th. Storm also announced the selection of Ashanti Files as the 2021 Urbana’s Poet Laureate. This report is accessible at: https://www.urbanaillinois.us/node/9059 • 2019 Urbana Arts Grant Final Report – June Clark Eubanks Eubanks presented a final report for 90 Years of the Machine , a requirement of their 2019 Urbana Arts Grant. This report is accessible at: https://www.urbanaillinois.us/node/9059 • Overview of Annual Visioning for Urbana Arts and Culture Program Storm reminded the commission of last year’s Visioning Session and items that were brought up at that time. Storm then requested feedback from the Commission for this year’s Visioning Session about topics and how they would like to approach the meeting. Commissioners noted some possible items to be discussed at that meeting as addition of more cultural specific programming, a request for a brief history of the commissions past accomplishments, and a desire to collect feedback from the community. Storm noted this discussion and feedback from the commission to use at the February meeting. 6. NEW BUSINESS There was none. 7. ANNOUNCEMENTS There were none. 8.
