CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL With a quorum present, Mayor Marlin called the public hearing to order at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Marlin opened the hearing and stated the purpose of the hearing, to hear public concerns and comments concerning a request from Carle Foundation Hospital to vacate the following streets: North Orchard Street between West Church Street and West University Avenue and West Park Street between North Orchard Street and North McCullough Street. Mayor Marlin provided a description of the right of way boundaries and approximate lengths of the streets. She stated that non-residential properties benefiting from this type of vacation requires the payment of fair market value. The city received an appraisal from Whitsitt and Associates, September 2018, of $500,000. Notice of the public hearing was published in the News-Gazette on Dec 18, 2018. Mayor Marlin opened the public hearing. No one came forward. II. PUBLIC INPUT There was none. III. ADJOURNMENT There being no further comments or questions, Mayor Marlin closed the public hearing at 7:03 p.m. Charles A.
