Smyth, City Clerk URBANA CITY COUNCIL CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES Monday, December 9, 2019 The Urbana City Council held a public hearing continued from September 23, 2019 on December 9, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building, 400 S. Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Bill Brown, Dean Hazen, Shirese Hursey, Eric Jakobsson, Jared Miller, Dennis Roberts, Maryalice Wu, Mayor Diane Wolfe Marlin, City Clerk Charles A. Smyth ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE: none ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: STAFF PRESENT: Carol Mitten, Curt Borman OTHERS PRESENT: I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL With a quorum present, Mayor Marlin called the public hearing to order at 7:45 p.m. following a Cunningham Township meeting. Mayor Marlin re-opened the hearing, stated the purpose of the hearing to receive public input on a proposed annexation agreement between the City of Urbana and Henri Merkelo for a tract of land consisting of approximately 1.01 acres, and generally located east of North Smith Road, and north of University Avenue. The property is commonly referred to as 2218 East University Avenue and has a permanent index number of 30-21-10-351-016. Notice of this public hearing was published on July 24, 2019. No one came forward. II. PUBLIC INPUT There was none. III. ADJOURNMENT City Council Member Hursey moved to continue the meeting to May 4, 2020, seconded by CM Jakobsson. With no discussion, the motion passed by unanimous voice vote. Mayor Marlin declared the public hearing continued to May 4, 2020 and declared the meeting adjourned at 7:48 p.m. Charles A.
