He reviewed efforts at blacklisting this movie due to political views held by Ms. Paley. He expressed astonishment that this could happen in our university community, something his grandfather experienced in the McCarthy era. He described his attempts to break this blacklist by renting the Art Theater and showing this movie. He compared this to the blacklisting of those who protested during the McCarthy period. He is in the process of appealing this decision to the board of the Art Theater. CM Jakobsson expressed his support for Mr. Naiman’s efforts as a member of the Art Theater as well as being a fan of Ms. Paley.
