Clark, City Clerk *** SPECIAL MEETING *** URBANA CITY COUNCIL MEETING JANUARY 28, 2013 The City Council of the City of Urbana, Illinois, met in special session Monday, January 28, 2013 in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL With a quorum present, Mayor Prussing called the special meeting of the Urbana City Council to order at 6:00 p.m. II. CLOSED SESSION: COLLECTIVE BARGAINING ISSUES, PURSUANT 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2) Alderman Smyth made a motion that the Council go into closed session for the purpose of discussing collective bargaining issues, pursuant 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2). Alderman Jakobsson seconded. The vote was as follows: Urbana City Council (Special) Minutes: January 28, 2013 Page 2 of 2 Jakobsson – Aye Smyth – Aye Lewis – Aye Mayor Prussing – Aye Marlin – Aye The motion carried by roll call vote (5*-aye:0-nay). The Council went into closed session at 6:01 p.m., moving to the Executive Conference Room on the second floor of the Urbana City Building. [*Mayor voted.] The Council resumed regular session at 6:56 p.m. with a roll call of the following elected officials physically present: Jakobsson, Lewis, Roberts, Marlin, Smyth, Stevenson, Mayor Prussing. The record also recognizes City Clerk Phyllis Clark, an elected official, physically present. III. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, Mayor Prussing declared the special meeting of the Urbana City Council adjourned at 6:57 p.m. ______________________________ Deborah J.
