CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL There being a quorum, Mayor Prussing called the special meeting of the Urbana City Council to order at 7:22 p.m. *Started late due to Town Board Meeting. II. UNFINISHED BUSINESS There was none. V. NEW BUSINESS 1. ORDINANCE NO. 2014-09-081: An Ordinance Approving A Major Variance (To allow an encroachment of a home addition into a required rear yard in the City’s R-3, Single- and Two-Family Residential District, at 807 South Cottage Grove Avenue / ZBA Case No. 2014- MAJ-05) Maximillian Mahalek, Community Development Planning Intern presented Ordinance No. 2014-09-081 to council with recommendation for approval. After presentation and brief discussion Alderman Smyth made a motion to approve Ordinance No. 2014-09-081. Alderman Jakobsson seconded. Motion carried by roll call. Votes were as follows: Bill Brown – Aye Diane Marlin - Aye Eric Jakobsson – Aye Charles Smyth - Aye Michael P. Madigan - Aye Action: Ordinance No. 2014-09-081 was approved by roll call vote (5-Ayes; 0-Nays) VI.
