Dr. Evelyn Underwood; Members of the Media I. Call To Order and Roll Call There being a quorum, Mayor Prussing called the special meeting of the Urbana City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. II. Petitions and Communications 1. Recycling Coordinator Courtney Kwong discussed the City of Urbana, Illinois being a national award recipient of the 2014 Waste Wise Local Government Partner of the Year. Ms. Kwong gave an overview of the WasteWise program, and presented the statistics that were used as a basis for Urbana’s receipt of the award. III. New Business Urbana City Counsel (Special Meeting) Minutes: February 9, 2015 Page Two 1. Resolution No. 2015-02-006R: A Resolution to Approve a Contract Extension Agreement Between The City of Urbana, Illinois and The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, Council 31, Local 1331 (Term Of July 1, 2013, Through June 30, 2017) As Mayor Prussing was introducing Resolution No. 2015-02-006R to Council, Alderman Smyth made a motion to put Resolution No. 2015-02- 006R and Resolution No. 2015-02-007R on the Agenda. Alderman Roberts seconded the motion. Motion carried by voice vote. Mayor Prussing then presented Resolution No. 2015-02-006R to Council. Alderman Ammons made a motion to approve Resolution No. 2015-02-006R. Alderman Smyth seconded. Motion carried by roll call. Votes were as follows: Aaron Ammons – Aye Diane Marlin - Aye Bill Brown – Aye Dennis Roberts - Aye Michael Madigan – Aye Charles Smyth - Aye Disposition: Resolution No. 2015-02-006R was approved by roll call vote (6 – ayes; 0 – Nays). 2. Resolution NO. 2015-02-007R: A Resolution to Approve an Extension of The Agreement Between The City of Urbana, Illinois and The Local #1147 of The International Association of Fire Fighters(Term Of July 1, 2013, Through June 30, 2017 Mayor Prussing presented Resolution No. 2015-02-007R to Council. Alderman Smyth made a motion to approve Resolution No. 2015-02-007R. Alderman Ammons seconded the motion. Motion Carried by roll call. Votes were as follows: Aaron Ammons – Aye Diane Marlin - Aye Bill Brown – Aye Dennis Roberts - Aye Michael Madigan – Aye Charles Smyth - Aye Disposition: Resolution No. 2015-02-007R was approved by roll call vote (6 – ayes; 0 – Nays). IV.
