Call To Order and Roll Call There being a quorum, Mayor Prussing called the special meeting of the Urbana City Council to order at 7:01 p.m. II. Petitions and Communications Durl Kruse expressed his concerns about TIF issues to council members. III. NEW BUSINESS 1. Ordinance No. 2016-05-040: An Ordinance Fixing a Time for a Public Hearing in Connection with the Proposed Designation of a Central Redevelopment Project Area, Approval of a Redevelopment Plan and Redevelopment Projects and Adoption of Tax Increment Financing and Related Matters Brandon Boys, Economic Development Manager, presented this ordinance. He Urbana City Council (Special Meeting) Minutes: May 23, 2016 Page 2 of 2 answered questions from council members. After discussion Alderman Roberts made a motion to approve Ordinance No. 2016-05-040. Alderman Smyth seconded the motion, which was carried by roll call vote. Votes were as follows: Ammons – Aye Madigan - Aye Brown – Aye Roberts - Aye Jakobsson – Aye Smyth - Aye Disposition: Ordinance No. 2016-05-040 was approved by roll call vote (6-Aye; 0-Nay) 2. Ordinance No. 2016-05-041: An Ordinance of the City of Urbana, Champaign County, Illinois, Authorizing the Establishment of Tax Increment Financing “Interested Parties” Registries and Adopting Registration Rules for Such Registries Alderman Roberts made a motion to approve Ordinance No. 2016-05-041. Alderman Smyth seconded. Motion carried by roll call vote. Votes were as follows: Ammons – Aye Madigan - Aye Brown – Aye Roberts - Aye Jakobsson – Aye Smyth - Aye Disposition: Ordinance No. 2016-05-041 was approved by roll call vote (6-Aye; 0-Nay) IV.
