Clark, City Clerk *** SPECIAL MEETING *** URBANA CITY COUNCIL MEETING Monday, July 11, 2016 The City Council of the City of Urbana, Illinois, met in special session Monday, July 11, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building. Call To Order and Roll Call There being a quorum, Mayor Prussing called the special meeting of the Urbana City Council to order at 7:31 p.m. *Started late due to prior public hearing. II. Petitions and Communications Mayor Prussing gave an update regarding the sale of the UC2B/iTV-3. Mayor Prussing also reported that the state passed a temporary budget but did not include social service. This is very critical as it will affect both Champaign and Urbana in the months to come, especially for the coming winter with no shelters. Mayor Prussing also announced a meeting with all of the social service stake holders to discuss the lack of social service funds. The meeting will take Urbana City Council (Special Meeting) Minutes: July 11, 2016 Page 2 of 2 place this coming Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army building on North Market Street in Champaign. III. Ordinance No. 2016-06-049: An Ordinance Revising the Annual Budget Ordinance for FY 2016-2017 (Jag Grant) – UPD [COW 06/27/16; CC 07/05/16] Mayor Prussing introduced Ordinance No. 2016-06-049 to council with recommendation for approval. Alderman Smyth made a motion to approve Ordinance No. 2016-06-049 as forwarded. Alderwoman Marlin seconded. Motion carried by roll call vote. Votes were as follows: Eric Jakobsson – Aye Diane Marlin – Aye Bill Brown - Aye Dennis Roberts - Aye Michael P. Madigan - Aye Charles Smyth - Aye Mayor Prussing - Aye Disposition: Ordinance No. 2016-06-049 was approved by roll call vote (7-Ayes; 0-Nay). IV. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before this Special Council Meeting, Mayor Prussing declared the meeting adjourned at 7:36 p.m. Wendy M.
