Clark, City Clerk *** SPECIAL MEETING *** URBANA CITY COUNCIL MEETING Monday, September 26, 2016 The City Council of the City of Urbana, Illinois, met in special session Monday, September 26, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building, 400 S. Vine Street. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Charlie Smyth, Alderman Ward 1 Aaron Ammons, Alderman Ward 3 Bill Brown, Alderman Ward 4 Dennis Roberts, Alderman Ward 5 (arrived at 6:05pm) Michael Madigan, Alderman Ward 6 Diane Marlin, Alderwoman Ward 7 Laurel Lunt Prussing, Mayor Phyllis D. Clark, City Clerk ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE - None ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT – none STAFF PRESENT: Bill Gray; Mike Monson; James Simon; Craig Shonkwiler OTHERS PRESENT: none I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL There being a quorum, Mayor Prussing called the special meeting of the Urbana City Council to order at 6:00 pm. II. Public Input There was none. III. Closed Session to Discuss Imminent Litigation, Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c) (11) Alderman Smyth moved to go into closed session to discuss imminent litigation, pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11). Motion seconded by Alderman Brown and carried by roll call vote as follows: Ayes: Ammons, Brown, Jakobsson, Marlin, Madigan, Smyth, and Prussing. The City Council returned to open session at 7:12 pm following a motion by Alderman Roberts, seconded by Alderwoman Marlin and carried by voice vote. Urbana City Council (Special Meeting) Minutes: September 26, 2016 Page 2 of 2 IV.
