Smyth, City Clerk URBANA CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING Monday October 15, 2018 The City Council of the City of Urbana, Illinois, met in special session Monday October 15, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Bill Brown; Eric Jakobsson; Jared Miller; Dennis Roberts; Maryalice Wu (arrived at 6:24pm); Mayor Diane Marlin ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE: None ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: Aaron Ammons; Dean Hazen; Charles A. Smyth, City Clerk STAFF PRESENT: Brandon Boys; William Gray; Libby Horwitz; Kay Meharry; Carol Mitten; Todd Rent; John Schneider; James Simon OTHERS PRESENT: Members of the Media I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL There being a quorum present, Mayor Marlin called the meeting of the Urbana City Council to order 6:05pm. II. PUBLIC INPUT There was none. III. CLOSED SESSION 1. To consider: a. Sale of Certain Real Estate, Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(6) b. Acquisition of Certain Real Estatae, Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(5) CM Dennis Roberts made a motion to go into closed session to consider sale of certain real estate, pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(6), and acquisition of certain real estate, pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(5). Motion seconded by CM Jared Miller and carried by roll call vote as follows: Brown – aye; Jakobsson – aye; Miller – aye; Roberts – aye; Marlin – aye The City Council and staff moved to the Executive Conference Room. The City Council and staff returned to council chambers at 6:54pm. CM Maryalice Wu made a motion to go back into open session. Motion seconded by CM Roberts and carried by voice vote. IV. ADJOURNMENT With no further business to come before the City Council, Mayor Marlin declared the meeting adjourned at 6:55pm.
