URBANA FIRE DEPARTMENT FOREIGN FIRE TAX BOARD MEETING DATE: February 11, 2020 TIME: 7:30 a.m. PLACE: Urbana City Council Chambers MINUTES 1. Call to Order: 7:37 a. Roll call: Lane, Prendergast, Smith, Chief Lauss, Wallace 2. Approval of Minutes of Previous Meeting November 11, 2019 Motion by Chief Lauss, second by Smith. Motion passes. 3. Approval of the Treasurer’s Report a. Treasurer report unavailable 4. Public Input: None 5. Old Business a. Picture Board: Chief will look into mounting a tv in the vestibule and having digital pictures scroll on it b. Fire station recliners: Tal needs to work on RFP for 19 chairs. c. Kitchen table and chairs Sta.1: Lane needs to work on RFP for table and chairs. d. Dorm room furniture (nightstands): Contract was signed. e. Refrigerator purchase for station 2: Chief will contact Thomas to work with him to get fridge. Fridge will not have a freezer. f. Patio furniture Stations 1&3: Wallace thinks it is nice for downtown, Wallace will work on purchasing for station 1, max of $1000. Chief makes a motion, Wallace seconds. Motion carries. g. Epoxy floor coating Stations 2&3: Smith will work on getting an estimate for station 2, hold off on station 3. 6. New Business a. Kitchen table and chairs Sta.2: Lane will look at chairs for 2 and 3. Motion to add up to $2400 to RFP for station 1 chairs for 8 chairs. For the Good of the Order a. Old UFD sign was donated back to the department by Danny Harmon. Approximate cost is $1000 to refurbish the other side. b. Smith’s Engineer wants a 3 step ladder to clean the upper portions of the engine. Chief will look at the City buying them. c. Chief will reach out to Tristan to see about getting bank cards for all board members. 8. Adjournment: Smith motions, Lane seconds. Motion passes. Meeting adjourned at 8:27.
