Clark, Town Clerk CUNNINGHAM TOWNSHIP BOARD Monday, December 1, 2014 The Cunningham Township Board met in regular session Monday, November 3, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building, 400 S. Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Chair: Laurel Lunt Prussing Trustees: Bill Brown; Eric Jakobsson; Michael P. Madigan; Diane Marlin, Dennis Roberts, Charles Smyth Town Clerk: Phyllis Clark Supervisor: Michelle Mayol Assessor: Absent ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE: Carol Ammons ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: Dan Stebbins, Township Assessor OTHERS PRESENT: Fred Grosser; Members of the Media A. ROLL CALL Chair Prussing called the meeting of the Cunningham Township Board to order at 7:00 p.m. B. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Trustee Dennis Roberts made a motion to approve minutes from meeting held on November 3, 2014. Trustee Carol Ammons seconded. Motion carried by voice vote. C. COMMITTEE TO VERIFY BILLS The following items were presented in omnibus fashion: 1. Town Fund 2. General Assistance Fund Trustee Diane Marlin made a motion to approve the Town Fund in the amount of $55,348.18, and the General Assistance Fund in the amount of $18,472.84. Trustee Eric Jakobsson seconded. Motion carried by voice vote. D. REPORTS OF OFFICERS Cunningham Township Supervisor Michelle Mayol announced that the “Wrap Up In Warmth” Cunningham Township coat drive began today. Ms. Mayol presented that Cunningham Township will be accepting the following clean & gently used, warm winter items: coats, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, scarves, boots & throw blankets, to be distributed to those in need. Cunningham Township Board Meeting Minutes: December 1, 2014 Page 2 of 3 Items to be donated should be brought to 205 W. Green St., Urbana, and the drop Off Times are 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Mon-Friday E. PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS There was none. F. UNFINISHED BUSINESS There were none. G. NEW BUSINESS 1. Resolution No. T-2014-12-007R: A Resolution to Authorize Property Tax Abatement for Residential, Commercial and Industrial Property Improvements in the Urbana Enterprise Zone. Trustee Charles Smyth made a motion to approve Resolution No. T- 2014-12-007R. Trustee Dennis Roberts Seconded. Motion carried by Roll call. Votes were as follows: Ammons – Aye Marlin – Aye Brown – Aye Roberts - Aye Jakobsson – Aye Smyth – Aye Madigan – Aye Disposition: Resolution No. T-2014-12-007R was approved by roll call vote. (7 – Ayes; 0 – Nays) 2. Ordinance No. T-2014-12-004: An ordinance levying taxes for all town purposes for the Town of Cunningham, Champaign County, Illinois, for the tax year 2014, collectible in 2015. Discussion ensued with Michelle Mayol and the Trustees regarding the estimated figures for next fiscal year. Trustee Charles Smyth made a motion to approve Ordinance No. T- 2014-12-004. Trustee Diane Marlin seconded. Motion carried by roll call. Votes were as follows: Ammons – Aye Marlin – Aye Brown – Aye Roberts - Aye Jakobsson – Aye Smyth – Aye Madigan – Aye Chair Prussing – Aye Disposition: Ordinance No. T-2014-12-004 was approved by roll call vote. (8 – Ayes; 0- Nays) H.
