Clark, Town Clerk CUNNINGHAM TOWNSHIP BOARD Monday, October 5, 2015 The Cunningham Township Board met in Regular session Monday, October 5, 2015 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building, 400 S. Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Chair: Laurel Lunt Prussing Trustees: Aaron Ammons; Bill Brown; Michael P. Madigan; Diane Marlin; Charles Smyth Town Clerk: Phyllis Clark Supervisor: Absent Assessor: Dan Stebbins ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE: ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: Michelle Mayol, Township Supervisor; Eric Jakobsson, Ward 2; Dennis Roberts, Ward 5; OTHERS PRESENT: Frederic M. Grosser, Deana Landess, Members of the Media A. ROLL CALL Chair Prussing called the meeting of the Cunningham Township Board to order at 7:02 p.m. B. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Trustee Bill Brown made a motion to approve minutes from September 8, 2015. Trustee Charles Smyth seconded. Motion carried by voice vote. C. COMMITTEE TO VERIFY BILLS The following items were presented in omnibus fashion: 1. Town Fund 2. General Assistance Fund Trustee Charles Smyth made a motion to approve the Town Fund in the amount of $46,087.41 General Assistance Fund in the amount of $16,420.66. Trustee Diane Marlin seconded. Motion carried by voice vote. D. REPORTS OF OFFICERS There were none. E. PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS There was none. F. Approval of the Homelessness Prevention Handbook Chair Prussing introduce the Approval of the Homelessness Prevention Handbook, Township Supervisor Michelle Mayol was present to addressed question and concerns from the Town Board. Trustee Charles Smyth made a motion to approve as presented. Trustee Diane Marlin seconded. Motion failed due lack of votes. A new motion was made by Trustee Madigan to meet with Township Supervisor Michelle Mayol to get a better understanding of the program and its function and approve at a special meeting if needed sooner than next month. Trustee Ammons seconded. Motion carried by voice vote. 2. Closed and Open Session to Consider Township Attorney Frederic M. Grosser stated that there is no need to go into closed session at this time. Mr. Grosser stated that at this time the wait is on the ruling from the Appellate Court arguments that have been scheduled to be heard on October 22, 2015, and that the Court will provide a written decision within 60 days after the October 22, 2015 hearing. H. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Cunningham Town Board, Chair Prussing declared the meeting adjourned at 7:09 p.m. Wendy M.
