Clark, Township Clerk CUNNINGHAM TOWNSHIP BOARD Meeting Minutes Monday, November 8, 2021 The Cunningham Township Board met in regular session Monday, November 8, 2021 at 6:30pm. Due to the Governor and Mayoral Emergency Declarations, this meeting was conducted by virtual attendance via Zoom. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Chair: Diane Wolfe Marlin Township Clerk: Phyllis D. Clark ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE: Trustees: Maryalice Wu, Chris Evans, Shirese Hursey, Jaya Kolisetty, Chaundra Bishop, Grace Wilken, James Quisenberry Supervisor: Assessor: Wayne Williams ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: Danielle Chynoweth OTHERS PRESENT: Frederic Grosser, Jason Liggett, Darcy Sandefur, Bourema Ouedraogo, Jazmine Hernandez, Nicole Philyaw I. ROLL CALL With a quorum virtually present, Chair Marlin called the special meeting of the Cunningham Township Board to order at 6:31pm. II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES a. October 11, 2021 b. November 1, 2021 Special Meeting Motion by CM Wu to approve as corrected and seconded by CM Hursey. CM Wilken and CM Kolisetty provided corrections. Vote by roll call: AYE: Wu, Evans, Hursey, Kolisetty, Quisenberry, Bishop, Wilken NAY: None III. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA None. IV. PUBLIC INPUT None V. COMMITTEE TO VERIFY BILLS a. Town Fund b. General Assistance Fund Presented by Nicole Philyaw. She encouraged the board to ask any questions they had. Assessor Wayne Williams presented expenditures of $42,660.95 from Town Fund, $79,901.00 from GA Fund, and a combined total of $122,562.00. Questions and discussion ensued. Motion to approve by CM Wu and seconded by CM Quisenberry. Vote by roll call: AYE: Quisenberry, Wu, Hursey, Bishop, Evans, Wilken, Kolisetty NAY: None VI. REPORTS OF OFFICERS Jazmine Hernandez the deputy supervisor presented on income and expenses and asked council about questions regarding supervisor report. Questions and discussion ensued. Hernandez elaborated on the eviction prevention efforts of the township. Assessor Williams presented a power point on property tax and assessments. Explained the role of local government bodies in the tax process. Discussion and questions ensued. VII. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None. VIII. NEW BUSINESS a. Resolution No. T-2021-11-015: A Resolution Determining the Amounts of Money Necessary to be Raised by the Tax Levy for the Tax Year 2021, Collectible in 2022 Presented by Assessor Williams. To be in compliance with state law and to start the levy process. Motion to approve by CM Wu seconded by CM Wilken. Questions ensued. Vote by roll call: AYE: Wu, Evans, Hursey, Kolisetty, Bishop, Quisenberry, Wilken NAY: None b. Resolution No. T-2021-11-016: A Resolution Authorizing Cunningham Township Supervisor to Sign Contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield for Health Ins, Effective 1/1/22 Presented by Assessor Williams. Allows township to sign contract renewing health insurance. Motion to move to next meeting by CM Wu and seconded by CM Hursey. Vote by roll call: AYE: Wu, Evans, Quisenberry, Kolisetty, Hursey, Wilken NAY: Bishop IX.
