Vine Street Monday July 15, 2019 The City Council and the Board of Cunningham Township of the City of Urbana, Illinois, met in Special Joint Session on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Maryalice Wu, City Council Member and Trustee Ward 1; Eric Jakobsson, City Council Member and Trustee Ward 2; Shirese Hursey, City Council Member and Trustee Ward 3; Bill Brown, City Council Member and Trustee Ward 4; Dean Hazen, City Council Member and Trustee Ward 6; Jared Miller, City Council Member and Trustee Ward 7; Diane Wolfe Marlin, Mayor and Chair; Wayne Williams, Assessor, Cunningham Township; ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE: None ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: Dennis Roberts, City Council Member and Trustee Ward 5; Charles A. Smyth, City and Township Clerk; Cunningham Township Supervisor Danielle Chynoweth STAFF PRESENT: Wendy Hundley, James Simon OTHERS PRESENT: None I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL There being a quorum present, Mayor/Chair Marlin called the joint meeting of the Urbana City Council and Cunningham Town Board to order at 6:32 p.m. *Council Member Hursey arrived at 6:33 p.m. Mayor acknowledged her arrival II. PUBLIC INPUT There was no public input. III. Closed Session to Review Closed Meeting Minutes pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(21) A motion to go into closed session to review closed meeting minutes pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(21) was made by City Council Member Eric Jakobsson, seconded by City Council Member Jared Miller, and passed by roll call vote (6-0): Ayes: Hazen, Hursey, Jakobsson, Miller, Wu, Marlin Nays: None Page 1 of 2  The City Council/Trustees, Mayor, and staff moved to the 2nd floor Executive Conference Room at 6:34 pm. The City Council and Mayor returned to council chambers at 7:06 pm. The body went back into open session via motion by Council Member Dean Hazen, seconded by Council Member Maryalice Wu and passed by unanimous voice vote. IV. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the joint meeting, Mayor/Chair Marlin declared the meeting adjourned at 7:07 p.m. Wendy M.
