City of Utica Board of Estimate & Apportionment – Regular Meeting June 18, 2024 The meeting is called to order at 3:18 p.m. Present: Michael P. Galime, Mayor; Katie Aiello, 1st District Councilmember; Rocco Giruzzi, Common Council President William Morehouse, Comptroller; David Short, Department of Public Works Commissioner; Almir Kaltak, Budget Director Also Present: Melissa Sciortino, City Clerk/Secretary to E&A Andrew Castilla, Deputy City Clerk A motion to enter into Executive Session to discuss 2305 Genesee Street V. The City of Utica made by Mayor Galime Motion seconded by Councilmember Aiello A motion to end Executive Session made by Mayor Galime Motion seconded by Councilmember Aiello RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A MOU BETWEEN THE CITY OF UTICA AND CSEA LOCAL 1000. GRADE CHANGE FOR THE CIVIL SERVICE TITLE OF HOUSING CODE INSPECTOR TRAINEE, GRADE 8 TO GRADE 12 A motion is made by Mayor Galime The motion is seconded by Councilmember Aiello Ayes: Galime, Aiello, Aiello, Giruzzi, Short – 5 Nays: 0 Adopted. RESOLUTION TO INCORPORATE THE 2025 LAW ENFORCEMENT TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM GRANT INTO THE 2024-2025 CITY BUDGET, $951,450. THESE FUNDS WILL BE USED TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE THAT WILL PREVENT AND SOLVE CRIMES, PARTICULARLY VIOLENT CRIMES BY FIREARMS AND CRIMES OF COMMUNITY CONCERN A motion is made by Mayor Galime The motion is seconded by Councilmember Aiello Ayes: Galime, Aiello, Aiello, Giruzzi, Short – 5 Nays: 0 Adopted. RESOLUTION TO INCORPORATE THE SEWER DEBT COLLECTIONS INTO THE 2024-2025 CITY BUDGET, $36,320. THE ORGIONAL BUDGET DID NOT CONTAIN THE CORRECT PAYMENTS DUE.
