Strickland, and Alternate Benjamin Elliott COUNCIL Board Member Debbie Esser, Chair Nancy Bennett, and Director of Arts, ABSENT: Culture & Tourism Caitlin Visel STAFF Director of Planning & Development Susan Anderson PRESENT: 1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER 1.1. Meeting called to order by Olga Charles at 5:39 p.m. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 2.1. Consider approving the minutes of the August 28, 2025 Historic Preservation Board meeting. The date on the agenda was incorrect for the minutes. It should read July 24, 2025. Elliott made a motion to approve the minutes with correction of the date Trevino seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. 3. NEW BUSINESS 3.1. Review and consider approval of proposed restroom facility in De Leon Park. Susan Anderson explained the project. The Southwest Neighborhood Association has written a grant to fund construction of restrooms at De Leon Park. The restrooms will be located southwest of the historic Nicolas School. Plans were presented and approved with the condition that the brick be matched in color and bond with the original brick of the school.
