The two items that need to be looked at are backflow and parking. First, anything that is a beauty shop (which this is) requires backflow prevention. This is to prevent any chemical contamination. The second thing is parking spaces. Every residential unit in town is required to have 2 parking spaces. If you are going to have a salon in your home, you would need 2 additional parking spaces. If there are no outside employees, then only 1 extra parking space is needed for customers. Public hearing opened at 6:09PM Juanita Martinez, property owner stated that she is the only employee. She mentioned she does have sufficient parking, and that her customers are by appointment only. Ms. Martinez stated that she will have backflow installed. Public hearing closed at 6:12PM.
