Unapproved Minutes Council Special Session March 26, 2018 Monday 5:30 p.m. The special session of the City Council, City of Vermillion, South Dakota was held on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at the Fire Station meeting room. 1. Roll Call Present: Erickson, Holland, Humphrey, Meins, Price, Ward (arrived 5:35 p.m.) Absent: Collier-Wise, Sorensen, Mayor Powell 2. Pledge of Allegiance 3. Informational Session – Presentation of the Vermillion Fire Department annual report Matt Callahan, Fire Chief, provided the Vermillion Fire, EMS and Rural Fire Department's annual report for 2017. Matt thanked the City Council for the special meeting to receive the report and tour the station. Alderman Ward arrived 5:35 p.m. Matt reviewed the annual report and answered questions of the City Council on the annual report. Vice President Holland, on behalf of the City Council and community, thanked the members of the Fire and EMS Departments for their service to the community. 4. Informational Session – Tour of Fire Station #1 Matt Callahan, Fire Chief, and other members of the Vermillion Fire, EMS and Rural Fire Department provided a tour of the Fire Station #1. 5. Adjourn 85-18 Alderman Erickson moved to adjourn the Council special session at 6:20 p.m. Alderman Price seconded the motion. Motion carried 6 to 0. Vice President Holland declared the motion adopted.
