CITY OF VERONA MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE MARCH 14, 2016 VERONA CITY HALL 1. The meeting was called to order by William “Mac” McGilvray at 6:30 p.m. 2 Roll Call: Elizabeth Doyle (6:32 p.m.), Jack Linder, William “Mac” McGilvray. Also present: Bill Burns, City Administrator. 3. Approval of the 2/22/2016 Finance Committee Minutes: Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Linder, to approve the 2/22/2016 Finance Committee minutes. Motion carried 2-0. 4. Payment of Bills: Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Linder, to approve the payment of bills in the amount of $911,08.79. Motion carried 3-0. 5. Out-of-Office Checks: Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Doyle, to approve the payment of bills in the amount of $8,875,941.84. Motion carried 3-0. 6. Resolution R-16-005 Approving a First Addendum to the Commercial Lease Agreement with Redeemer Bible Fellowship for Property Located at 130 North Franklin Street: Mr. Burns explained that the City currently leases the old library building at 130 North Franklin Street to the Redeemer Bible Fellowship. The current lease agreement runs through 9/30/2016 with a rate of $4,800 per month. The Redeemer Bible Fellowship is interested in extended the lease. Staff have prepared a First Addendum to the lease which would extend the lease term by two years through 9/30/2018 and increase the rate to $4,900 per month beginning on October 1, 2016. Redeemer Bible Fellowship has agreed to these terms. Motion by Linder, seconded by Doyle, to recommend that the Common Council approve Resolution R-16-005 Approving a First Addendum to the Commercial Lease Agreement with Redeemer Bible Fellowship for the Property Located at 130 North Franklin Street. Motion carried 3-0. Mr. Burns provided a brief update on the status of work being done at the Fire and EMS facility. 7.
