City of Verona Finance Committee City Hall – 111 Lincoln Street Verona, WI 53593-1520 MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE DECEMBER 12, 2016 1. The meeting was called to order by William “Mac” McGilvray at 6:32 p.m. 2 Roll Call: William “Mac” McGilvray, Elizabeth Doyle, and Jack Linder. Also present: Jeff Mikorski, City Administrator 3. Discussion and Possible Action regarding approval of 11/21/2016 Finance Committee minutes: Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Linder, to approve the 11/21/2016 Finance Committee minutes. Motion carried 3-0. 4. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the payment of bills: Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Doyle, to approve the payment of bills totaling $1,578,216.20. Motion carried 3-0. 5. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the payment of Out-of-office Checks: Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Linder, to approve out-of-office checks totaling $3,689.37. Motion carried 3-0. Discussion and Possible Action re: Ordinance 16-885, Amending Section 2-4-10 Tourism Commission. Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Linder, to approve the Ordinance. Motion by Linder, seconded by Doyle, for an amendment to the Ordinance changing 1) the Wisconsin State Statute from 66.75 to 66.0615; 2) removing the words “along with continued support to” from item 3, and adding “Contingent upon approval by City Council to the end of item 3. Motion on amendment carried 3-0. Motion on Ordinance carried 3-0. 6. Adjournment: Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Doyle, to adjourn the Finance Committee Meeting at 7:01 p.m. Motion carried 3-0.
