City of Verona Finance Committee City Hall – 111 Lincoln Street Verona, WI 53593-1520 MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE JUNE 27, 2022 The meeting was called to order by Alder Christine Posey at 6:30 p.m. Roll Call: Alder Mara Helmke and Alder Christine Posey were present. Chairperson Chad Kemp was excused. Also present: City Administrator Adam Sayre and Finance Director Brian Lamers Discussion and Possible Action regarding approval of June 13, 2022, Finance Committee minutes: Motion was made by Helmke, seconded by Posey to approve the June 13, 2022, Finance Committee minutes with no changes noted. Motion carried 2-0. Discussion and Possible Action recommending to City Council the approval of contract with Baker Tilly US, LLP for auditing services for 2022-2024: Lamers stated that the last year of the audit contract went through 2021 or budget year 2022. This new contract is for 3 years. The increase in the regular audit fee is 3%, 5% and 5% approximately for audit years 2022-2024. They also added a 2% Administration fee from previous contracts. Motion was made by Helmke, seconded by Posey to approve the recommendation to City Council the contract with Baker Tilly US, LLP for auditing services for 2022-2024. Motion carried 2-0. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the payment of bills: Motion was made by Posey, seconded by Helmke to approve the payment of bills totaling $560,788.69. Motion carried 2-0. Adjournment: Motion was made by Posey, seconded by Helmke to adjourn the Finance Committee Meeting at 6:38 p.m. Motion carried 2-0.
