City of Verona Finance Committee City Hall – 111 Lincoln Street Verona, WI 53593-1520 MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE AUGUST 14, 2023 The meeting was called to order by Alder Posey at 6:08 p.m. Roll Call: Alder Christine Posey and Alder Mara Helmke were present. Chairperson Chad Kemp was present at 6:25 p.m. Also present: City Administrator Jamie Aulik, HR Coordinator Mitch Weckerly and Police Chief Dave Dresser Discussion and Possible Action regarding approval of July 24, 2023 Finance Committee minutes: Motion was made by Posey, seconded by Helmke to approve the July 24, 2023 Finance Committee minutes with no changes noted. Motion carried 2-0. Discussion and Possible Action regarding 5 Year Contract agreement for Lexipol (Police Department: Police Chief Dave Dresser discussed the Lexipol and the need for it. After further discussion a motion was made by Posey and seconded by Helmke to table the agenda item until the next Finance Committee meeting. Motion carried 3-0. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the City Investment Report-July 2023: No action taken. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the Revenue and Expenditure Summary Report-July 2023: No action taken. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the 2024 Budget: No action taken. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the payment of bills: Motion was made by Posey, seconded by Helmke to approve the payment of bills totaling $2,715,244.37. Motion carried 3-0. Adjournment: Motion was made by Posey, seconded by Helmke to adjourn the Finance Committee Meeting at 6:59 p.m. Motion carried 3-0.
