City of Verona Finance Committee City Hall – 111 Lincoln Street Verona, WI 53593-1520 MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE JANUARY 3, 2024 The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Chad Kemp at 6:00 p.m. Roll Call: Chairperson Chad Kemp, Alder Christine Posey and Alder Mara Helmke were present. Also present: Alder Beth Tucker-Long, Alder Kate Cronin, Mayor Luke Diaz, City Administrator Jamie Aulik Discussion and Possible Action regarding Tour of Property Located at 131 Horizon Dr, Verona WI: Discussion took place regarding the cost of the building, conversion/renovation cost and the cost of staffing or contracted cost. Cost such as water sewer and gas would be covered by the managing entity. Cable was in question how it would be covered. Discussion also took place regarding replacement and depreciation cost. Another item that was discussed was meeting the threshold for affordable housing fund to be utilized. Adjournment: Motion was made by Helmke, seconded by Posey to adjourn the Finance Committee Meeting at 6:51 p.m. Motion carried 3-0.
