City of Verona Finance Committee City Hall – 111 Lincoln Street Verona, WI 53593-1520 MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE DECEMBER 11, 2023 The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Chad Kemp at 6:00 p.m. Roll Call: Chairperson Chad Kemp and Alder Christine Posey were present. Alder Mara Helmke was excused. Also present: Finance Director Brian Lamers. Discussion and Possible Action regarding approval of November 13, 2023 Finance Committee minutes: Motion was made by Posey, seconded by Kemp to approve the November 13, 2023 Finance Committee minutes with no changes noted. Motion carried 2-0. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the City Investment Report-November 2023: Lamers stated nothing to report. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the Revenue and Expenditure Summary Report- November 2023: Lamers stated the City is on track for the most part at this point. Interest Revenue is currently over $600,000 and Building Inspection is well above revenue. There are some departments that may be close or over and that is Parks, Public Works and Council budget. Council is due to Legal for Municipal Court cases. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the payment of bills: Motion was made by Kemp, seconded by Posey to approve the payment of bills totaling $898,210.92. Motion carried 2-0. Adjournment: Motion was made by Posey, seconded by Kemp to adjourn the Finance Committee Meeting at 6:04 p.m. Motion carried 2-0.
