FINANCE COMMITTEE
OCTOBER 28, 2024
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Mara Helmke at 6:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Chairperson Mara Helmke, Alder Christine Posey and Alder Patrick Lytle were
present.
Also present: City Administrator Jamie Aulik and Finance Director Brian Lamers
Public Comment: None
Discussion and Possible Action regarding approval of October 14, 2024 Finance Committee
minutes: Motion was made by Posey, seconded by Lytle to approve the October 14, 2024
Finance Committee minutes with no changes noted. Motion carried 3-0.
Discussion and Possible Action regarding Recommending to City Council Resolution R-24-028,
A Resolution Amending the City Fee Schedule: Lamers stated he believes there was only
changes to a couple of the licensing fees and to tennis program. Lamers also talked about that
Dane County is talking there may be an increase in Dog License Fees. Motion was made by
Helmke, seconded by Posey to recommend to City Council Resolution R-24-028, Amending the
City Fee Schedule pending Dane County review of Dog License Fees. Motion carried 3-0.
Discussion and Possible Action regarding Recommending to City Council Resolution R-24-029,
Approving the 2025 FitchRona EMS Operating and Capital Budgets: Motion was made by
Lytle, seconded by Posey to recommend to City Council Resolution R-24-029, Approving the
2025 FitchRona EMS Operating and Capital Budgets. Motion carried 3-0.
Discussion and Possible Action regarding Recommending to City Council Resolution R-24-030,
A Resolution Approving Exceeding the Levy Limit for Joint EMS Districts: Motion was made
by Posey, seconded by Lytle to recommend to City Council Resolution R-24-030, A Resolution
Requesting Approving Exceeding the Levy Limit for Joint EMS Districts. Motion carried 3-0.
Discussion and Possible Action regarding 2025 Budget Items: None
Discussion and Possible Action regarding the payment of bills: Motion was made by Posey,
seconded by Lytle to approve the payment of bills totaling $1,838,965.23. Motion carried 3-0.

Meeting at 6:15 p.m. Motion carried 3-0.
