CITY OF VERONA POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION WEDNESDAY, MAY 21, 2014 AT 5:00 P.M. VERONA POLICE DEPARTMENT MINUTES 1. The meeting was called to order by Delora Newton at 5:10 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Delora Newton, Richard Jensen, and Joleen Semmann. Also Present: Bernie Coughlin, Police Chief. 3. Approve Minutes: Moved by Newton, seconded by Jensen to approve the minutes of the January 28, 2014 meeting of the Verona Police and Fire Commission. 4. Moved by Newton, seconded by Semmann to convene into CLOSED SESSION, pursuant to Sec. 19.85(1) (c), Wis. Statutes to conduct interviews of candidates for the position of patrol officer in the Verona Police Department. Voting Aye: Newton, Jensen and Semmann. Voting No: None. Motion carried: 3-0. Time: 5:12 p.m. 5. Moved by Newton, seconded by Jensen to return to open session for discussion and possible action regarding the closed session. Motion carried: 3-0. Time: 9:40 p.m. Moved by Newton, seconded by Semmann to certify candidates B104, B103, B106, and B101 for employment consideration for the position of patrol officer for the Verona Police Department. Motion carried: 3-0. 6. Adjournment: Motion by Semmann, seconded by Newton to adjourn. Motion carried 3-0. Time: 9:41 p.m.
