CITY OF VERONA PUBLIC SAFETY AND WELFARE COMMITTEE JUNE 11, 2012 VERONA CITY HALL MINUTES 1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Scott Manley at 5:32 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Members Present: Jeremy Charles, Scott Manley, and Evan Touchett. Others Present: Bernie Coughlin, Police Chief; Bill Burns, City Administrator; and Kami Lynch, City Clerk. 3. Approval of Minutes. Motion by Touchett, seconded by Charles to approve the minutes of the May 14, 2012 meeting. Motion carried 3/0. 4. Discussion and possible action regarding an application for a ‘Verona Fest’ and a Temporary Class “B” Fermented Malt Beverage license from Mike O’Brien of Ice Inc., August 3-5, 2012. Motion by Charles, seconded by Touchett to recommend approval of the event and the Temporary Class “B” license with the times of the event as follows; Friday 5 p.m. – 12 a.m., Saturday 12 p.m. – 12 a.m. and Sunday (if necessary for weather cancellations) 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. Motion carried 3/0. 5. Discussion and possible action regarding an application for a Reserve “Class B” Liquor and Class “B” Fermented Malt Beverage license from Edelweiss Cheese Authentic WI, LLC. (Kathleen Workman, Agent). Motion by Charles, seconded by Touchett to recommend approval of the license contingent upon the establishment’s final inspection by the building inspector. 6. Discussion and possible action regarding an application for a Reserve “Class B” Liquor and Class “B” Fermented Malt Beverage license from Pasqual’s, Madison Epicureans, LLC. (Benjamin Roberts, Agent). Motion by Touchett, seconded by Charles to recommend approval of the license contingent upon the final inspection by the building inspector and with the recommendation from the Committee of an alarm on the exit of the outdoor patio area. Motion Carried 3/0. 7. Discussion and possible action regarding amending the on street parking ordinance. The committee members discussed the current ordinance and decided not to amend the ordinance. No action was taken. 8. Adjournment. Motion by Charles, seconded by Touchett to adjourn the meeting at 6:02 p.m. Motion carried 3/0. Kami Lynch, City Clerk 2012-6-11 PS&W
