CITY OF VERONA PUBLIC SAFETY AND WELFARE COMMITTEE JUNE 27, 2013 VERONA CITY HALL MINUTES 1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Dale Yurs at 5:00 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Members Present: Michael Bare and Dale Yurs. Scott Manley was absent and excused. Others Present: Jesse Christensen; Police Sargent, and Kami Lynch, City Clerk. 3. Approval of Minutes. Motion by Bare to table the approval of the minutes of the June 10th meeting to the next Public Safety and Welfare Committee meeting, seconded by Yurs. Motion carried 2/0. 4. Discussion and possible action regarding an application for a Special Event Permit for the ‘Wisconsin Triterium’ to be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Fireman’s Park from Ryan Richards, Race Day Events, LLC. Ald. Yurs reminded the applicant of the City Ordinance application requirements relating to special events. Sargent Christensen provided information on the procedures of the event and the safety precautions taken by both the applicant and the Verona Police department. Motion by Bare, seconded by Yurs to approve the Special Event Permit for the Wisconsin Triterium on Saturday, June 29, 2013. Motion carried 2/0. 5. Adjournment.
