MINUTES
1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Evan Touchett at 6:31 p.m.
2. Roll Call: Members Present: Evan Touchett and Heather Reekie. Dale Yurs
was absent and excused. Others Present: Bernie Coughlin, Police Chief; and
Kami Scofield, City Clerk.
3. Approval of Minutes. Motion by Reekie, seconded by Touchett to approve
the minutes from the May 11, 2015 meeting. Motion carried 2/0.
4. Discussion and possible action regarding a Special Event Permit for the
Wisconsin Triterium Triathlon on Saturday, June 27th from Ryan Hastings of
Race Day Events, LLC. Chief Coughlin stated that police officers will be at the
road closures. Bruce Street to Investment Court will have one lane open so
residents may access the yard waste drop‐off facility and an officer will direct
traffic through this lane. Bruce Street between Investment Court and Paoli
Street will be closed to traffic. Locust Drive from South Main Street to Bruce
Street will be closed to traffic. The event intends to be completed by noon.
Motion by Reekie seconded by Touchett to recommend that the Council
approve the Special Event Permit. Motion carried 2/0.
5. Discussion and possible action regarding Ordinance No. 15‐861 Amending
Section 10‐1‐13 of the Code of Ordinances, Required Stops. Motion by
Reekie, seconded by Touchett to recommend that the Common Council
approve Ordinance No. 15‐861 to allow for the erection of stop signs for new
construction in Liberty Park and one on Park Avenue that was a historical
oversight. Motion carried 2/0.
6. Adjournment. Motion by Touchett, seconded by Reekie to adjourn the
meeting at 6:57 p.m. Motion carried 2/0.
