CITY OF VERONA PUBLIC SAFETY AND WELFARE COMMITTEE FEBRUARY 13, 2017 VERONA CITY HALL MINUTES 1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Scott Stewart at 6:00 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Scott Stewart and Heather Reekie present. Also in attendance: Sergeant Jesse Christensen Tim McRoberts, Krystina Miller, Melissa Ramberger, and City Clerk Ellen Clark. 3. Approval of Minutes: Motion by Reekie, seconded by Stewart, to approve the minutes of the January 23, 2017 Public Safety and Welfare meeting. Motion carried 2-0. 4. Discussion and Possible Action Re: An Application for a Combination “Class B” Intoxicating Liquor and Class “B” Fermented Malt Beverages License from It’s Time Grill and Pub, LLC, d/b/a It’s Time Grill and Pub, Located at 608A West Verona Avenue, Tim McRoberts, Agent. Motion by, seconded by, to recommend to the Common Council to approve the application for a Combination “Class B” Intoxicating Liquor and Class “B” Fermented Malt Beverages License from It’s Time Grill and Pub, LLC, d/b/a It’s Time Grill and Pub, located at 608A West Verona Avenue, Tim McRoberts, Agent, contingent upon the surrender of the combination license currently held by Monte’s Grill and Pub. Motion carried 2-0. 4. Discussion and Possible Action Re: A Special Event Application from Theresa Taylor for Glacier Edge Color Run on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Motion by Stewart, seconded by Reekie, to approve the special event application from Theresa Taylor for Glacier Edge Color Run on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Sergeant Christensen stated that for safety purposes, the run will take place on the sidewalks. There will be no stopping or directing of traffic during the run. Motion carried 2-0. 6. Adjournment.
