The Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring Main Street Trick or Treating and a costume party at the Farmers Market in Hometown Junction Park on Halloween. The trick or treating route will begin at the park, proceed down the east side of Main Street, then cross Main Street south of the intersection of Main Street and Verona Road, then proceed down the west side of Main Street, ending at the park. Both street crossings will be controlled and marked. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Discussion and Possible Action Re: Ordinance No. 17-901 Amending Section 10-1-26 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Verona – Parking Prohibited During Certain Periods. The manager of Cecor, 102 Lincoln Street, contacted the Department of Public Works and Police Department regarding difficulties they were experiencing with deliveries at their business. Since the opening of the new VACT at 103 Lincoln Street, vehicles have been parking on the west side of Lincoln Street between their two driveways, and this makes it difficult for delivery trucks to enter and exit their property. Department of Public Works and Police Department staff arrived at a recommendation to restrict parking in this area during business hours at Cecor. Cecor management agreed with this recommendation and believed this restriction would rectify the matter. Motion by Reekie, seconded by Gaskell, to recommend to the Common Council to approve Ordinance No. 17-901 amending Section 10-1-26 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Verona – Parking Prohibited During Certain Periods. Motion carried 3-0. 6. Adjournment: Motion by Touchett, seconded by Reekie, to adjourn at 6:38 p.m. Motion carried 3-0. Ellen Clark, City Clerk
