CITY OF VERONA MINUTES PUBLIC WORKS/SEWER & WATER COMMITTEE MONDAY, MAY 22, 2017 1. The meeting was called to order by Mac McGilvray at 5:00pm. 2. Roll Call: Present: Mac McGilvray, Luke Diaz, Excused: Evan Touchett. Also present: Theran Jacobson, Director of Public Works; Jeff Mikorski, City Administrator; Brian Kleinmaier, City Attorney; Jeff Montpas, AECOM – City Engineer ; Beth Steinhauer, MSA. 3. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to approve the minutes of the May 8, 2017 meeting of the Public Works/Sewer and Water Committee. Motion carried 2-0. 4. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to recommend awarding contract for project 2017- 103, Verona Street Asphaltic Rehabilitation to Raymond P. Cattell of Madison, WI for amount not to exceed $337,333.50. Motion carried 2-0. 5. MOVED by Diaz, seconded by McGilvray, to recommend approval of professional services contract with D’Onofrio Kottke and Associates for architectural services for Library entrance re-construction for amount not to exceed $9,200.00. Motion carried 2-0. 6. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to recommend approval of amendment no. 1 with MSA Professional Services for CTH M reconstruction project for additional design services for amount not to exceed $58,120.84. Motion carried 2-0. 7. Discussion and possible action regarding Offer to Purchase for lands at 2760 N. Nine Mound Road. Mr. Jacobson described sequences of action for each agenda item. No action required per City Attorney discussion with resolution. 8. Discussion and possible action regarding Addendum to Offer to Purchase for lands at 2760 N. Nine Mound Road. Mr. Jacobson described sequences of action for each agenda item. No action required per City Attorney discussion with resolution. 9. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to Discussion and possible action regarding Resolution R-17-031 for Authorization to Convey City Property for lands at 2760 N. Nine Mound Road. Motion carried 2-0. 10. Discussion and possible action regarding Amendment to Agreement with Mr. Wilson. Mr. Jacobson described sequences of action for each agenda item. No action required per City Attorney discussion with resolution. 11. Discussion and possible action regarding Amendment to Driveway Easement with Mr. Wilson. Mr. Jacobson described sequences of action for each agenda item. No action required per City Attorney discussion with resolution. 12. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz for Offer to purchase, jurisdictional offer, and award Damages for parcel 14 of Transportation Project Plat 5992-09-81 for amount not to exceed $1000. Motion carried 2-0 13. Discussion and possible action regarding Offer to Purchase, Jurisdictional Offer and Award of Damages for parcel 9, 16, and 8 of Transportation Project Plat 5992-09-81. Mr. Jacobson provided a summary of each parcel prior to going into closed session. 14. MOVED by Diaz, seconded by McGilvray, to recommend convening in a closed session at 5:59 pm. Motion carried to 2-0. Diaz: Yea and McGilvray: Yea. 15. Mr. Touchett entered at 6:03pm. 16. MOVED by Diaz, seconded by McGilvray, to reconvene in open session at 6:18pm. Motion carried 2-0. 17. No action taken on Offer to Purchase, Jurisdictional Offer and Award of Damages for parcel 9, 16, and 8 of Transportation Project Plat 5992-09-81. Action to occur at Common Council. 18.
