On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, and unanimously passed, The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of an ad from Vicksburg Post to promote the Vicksburg Youth Council in the amount of $775.26. On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, and unanimously passed, The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of a sponsorship package ad from jb Entertainment Group for the Alcorn State University Homecoming Weekend in the amount of $1.500.00. ID-15-1009 Approve request for matching funds in the amount of $1,708.60 to Central Mississippi Prevention Services, Inc. for After School Program Attachments: CMPS On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve allocation of funds in the amount of $1,708.60 to Central Mississippi Prevention Services, Inc. for after school program. The City is authorized pursuant to Sec. 21-19-65 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended, for matching funds for social and community service programs and the City is matching these funds. Alderman Thompson moved to go into executive session to discuss Personnel Action Forms for New Hire in the Police Department (1), Fire Department (1); Pay Adjustments in the Fire Department (2), Sewer Department (1); Discussion in the Fire Department (1); Permission to Post in the Sewer Department (1); Resignation in the Fire Department (1); Litigation Matter (2). The motion was seconded by Alderman Mayfield, and upon vote being taken, the following voting aye: Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Thompson, Alderman Mayfield. The motion was adopted unanimously.
