Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order Invocation was given by Mayor George Flaggs, Jr. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Alderman Willis T. Thompson 2. Roll Call Present: 3- Mayor George Flaggs Jr. Alderman Michael A. Mayfield Sr. Alderman Willis T. Thompson 4. Adopt Agenda Mayor Flaggs called the meeting to order. On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Alderman voted to open the meeting. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Thompson. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously adopted. Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Thompson Routine Agenda: A. ID-16-635 Accept recommendations from M3A Architecture to Award Sealed Bid for Roof Removal and Replacement and Renovations for the Lee Street Pavilion Project to Fordice Construction Company along with the following: 1. Accept a deduct of $28,405.00 from the base bid to install a new standing seam metal roof on the entire structure and not use any shade canopy fabric 2. Accept a deduct of $55,360.00 from the base bid to remove the requirements for the stage construction in its entirety and we can keep and use the existing stage 3. Accept a deduct of $26,100.00 from the bid to remove the requirements for the barbeque area construction in its entirety 4. Accept a deduct of $50,500.00 from the base bid to provide alternate lighting plan E2.1 which replaces LED light fixtures with regular fluorescent fixtures 5. Accept a deduct of $10,810.00 from the base bid to delete requirements for EDF water cooler and new sink as shown on P1.1 6. Reject Add Alternate of $57,922.00 to provide LED color changing lighting system Attachments: Pavilion Roof On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to accept recommendations from M3A Architecture to Award Sealed Bid for Roof Removal and Replacement and Renovations for the Lee Street Pavilion Project to Fordice Construction Company along with the following: 1. Frontage Road Connector Project to Dirtworks, Inc. both base bid and alternate 2 for a total of $966,935.36 Attachments: Frontage Road Connector On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to award Sealed Bid on Wisconsin Ave to N. Frontage Road Connector Project to Dirtworks, Inc. of Vicksburg, MS both base bid and alternate 2 for a total of $966,935.36. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Thompson Contracts: C. ID-16-634 Authorize Mayor to Execute Contract/Invoice for Brochure Design Services with Front Porch Fodder Attachments: Front Porch Fodder On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to authorize the Mayor to execute Contract/Invoice for Brochure Design Services with Front Porch Fodder. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Thompson Adjournment There being no further business appearing, on motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, and unanimously passed, The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg adjourned.
