Aldermen voted to receive the the Vicksburg Police Department Crime Statistic

B. ID-16-1377 Approve request for advertisement from Kings Head Start for their MAP

Mayor Flaggs stated that purchasing an advertisement from the Kings Head Start
will bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and resources of
the City of Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the moral, financial
and other interest of the City of Vicksburg.
On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Thompson, and unanimously
passed, The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase
of an ad from Kings Head Start for their MAP 50th Anniversary Souvenir Program
Book in the amount of $1,250.00. The motion was adopted unanimously by the
following vote:

Mayor Flaggs stated that purchasing an advertisement from National Association
for the Advancement of Colored People's (NAACP) Vicksburg Branch will bring
into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and resources of the City of
Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the moral, financial and other
interest of the City of Vicksburg.
On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, and
unanimously passed, The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved
the purchase of a full page ad from the NAACP Vicksburg Branch (19th Annual
Freedom Fund Celebration) in the amount of $100.00. The motion was adopted
unanimously by the following vote:

F. ID-16-1387 Approve request from Mountain of Faith Ministries for allocation of
matching funds in the amount of $10,000.00 pursuant to Section
21-19-65 of the Mississippi Code

On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Thompson, the Mayor
and Aldermen voted to approve the request for allocation of funds in the amount
of $10,000.00 from Mountain of Faith Ministries. The City is authorized pursuant
to Sec. 21-19-65 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended, for matching funds
for social and community service programs and the City is matching these funds.

Executive Session:
Alderman Thompson moved the Mayor and Aldermen go into a closed meeting to
determine if the Board should go into executive session. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Mayfield. Voting aye, Mayor Flaggs, Alderman
Thompson, Alderman Mayfield. None voting nay, the motion was unanimously
adopted.
The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether or not they should go into executive
session. Alderman Mayfield moved to go into executive session to discuss

Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Longevity Pay for Laborer from
$14.48 per hour to $14.57 per hour in the Recreation/City Pool, for five (5)
years of service. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote:

B. ID-16-1392 Department Transfer - Human Resources (1)
On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the

Information Technician at $11.07 per hour in the IT Department to Data
Entry/Receptionist at $12.35 per hour in the Human Resources Department.

On motion of Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the
Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustments for Patrol Officer
at $14.85 per hour to Investigator at $15.85 per hour, Investigator at $20.79
per hour to Patrol at $19.79 per hour in the Police Department. The motion
was adopted unanimously by the following vote:
