B. ID-17-1037 Discuss Vicksburg Convention Center Updates
Ms. Annette Kirklin, Director of the Vicksburg Convention Center came before the
Board to inform the public of the upcoming events at the Vicksburg Convention
Center for the month of August 2017 and invited the public to attend.
The Mayor and Aldermen thanked Ms. Kirklin for attending the meeting.

Aldermen voted to approve allocation of funds in the amount of $20,000.00 to the
Vicksburg-Warren County Chamber of Commerce. The City is authorized
pursuant to Sec. 17-3-1 and 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended.
This brings into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities & resources of the
City and will be helpful toward advancing the moral, financial and other interests

On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., and
unanimously passed, The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved
the purchase of a renewal ad from Vicksburg High School Missy Gator Softball
Booster Club in the amount of $75.00. The City is authorized pursuant to Sec.
17-3-1 and 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972. The motion was adopted
