Monsour, Jr., Alderman Monday, September 18, 2017 10:00 AM City Hall Annex Board Room 1. Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order Invocation was given by Alderman Michael A. Mayfield, Sr. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Pro-Tem Alex J. Monsour, Jr. 2. Roll Call Present: 2- Alderman Michael A. Mayfield Sr. Alderman Alex J. Monsour Jr. Absent: 1- Mayor George Flaggs Jr. 3. Board Comments: 4. Adopt Agenda On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Mayor Pro-Tem, the Mayor Pro-Tem and Alderman voted to open the meeting. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. Absent: 1- Mayor Flaggs Routine Agenda: A. Depot - Stabilization and Restoration On motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Board proceeded to open bids submitted for furnishing Asphaltic Pavements; Escalator and Elevator Maintenance; Pebble Lime; Traffic Management Supplies; Traffic Signal Components; Roof Replacement - Building Maintenance / Traffic / Parking Garage; Depot - Stabilization and Restoration in accordance with specifications and instructions for bidding on file in the office of City Clerk: Proof of publication of legal advertisements was presented and ordered filed. Box 24508; Jackson, MS 39225 The Purchasing Director stated there are multiple line items and with permission of the Board the bids be made available for review immediately following the Board Meeting rather than reading them aloud at this time. ID-17-1504 Approve Request from Leadership Vicksburg Class of 2017 for $20,000.00 for the Vicksburg Dog Park On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve authorization of funds in the amount $20,000.00 to Leadership Vicksburg Class of 2017 for the Vicksburg Dog Park . The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. Absent: 1- Mayor Flaggs D. ID-17-1505 Approve Request from Bowmar Elementary School PTO (Southward Alderman's Discretionary Funds) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to table this agenda item. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. Absent: 1- Mayor Flaggs E. ID-17-1506 Approve Additions to Employee Driving List: 1. Donald Ross - Parks & Recreation Department On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Additions to Employee Driving List:1. Walter Sanders - Traffic Department; 2. Michael Brown - Cemetery Department; 3. Donald Ross - Parks & Recreation Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. Absent: 1- Mayor Flaggs Adjournment There being no further business appearing, on motion of Mayor Pro-Tem Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, and unanimously passed.
