Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order Invocation was given by Mayor George Flaggs, Jr. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Alderman Michael A. Mayfield, Sr. 2. Roll Call Present: 3- Mayor George Flaggs Jr. Alderman Michael A. Mayfield Sr. Alderman Alex J. Monsour Jr. 3. Board Comments: 4. Adopt Agenda Mayor Flaggs called the meeting to order. On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to open the meeting. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. Routine Agenda: A. ID-18-0474 Authorize Mayor to Execute Letter requesting Grant Amendment for the Vicksburg Municipal Airport AIP Project No. 3-28-0073-008-2015 Attachments: Airport Grant Amendment On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to authorize the Mayor to Execute Letter requesting Grant Amendment for the Vicksburg Municipal Airport AIP Project No. 3-28-0073-008-2015. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. B. ID-18-0475 Authorize Mayor to Execute Letter Terminating the Performance Assurances Services Program portion of Contract with Siemens Industry, Inc. dated February 21, 2012 Attachments: Siemens On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to authorize the Mayor to Execute Letter Terminating the Performance Assurances Services Program portion of Contract with Siemens Industry, Inc. dated February 21, 2012. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. C. ID-18-0476 Approve request for Additional Funds in the amount of $48,000.00 for Entertainment for the 31st Annual RiverFest Music & Arts Festival, pursuant to Sections 17-3-1 and 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code Attachments: Riverfest Additional Funding Mayor Flaggs stated that purchasing an advertisement from RiverFest, Inc. will bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and resources of the City of Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the moral, financial and other interest of the City of Vicksburg. On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, and unanimously passed, The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of a sponsorship ad from RiverFest, Inc. for the 31st Annual City of Vicksburg Page 1 Board of Mayor and Aldermen Special Meeting Minutes - April 19, 2018 Final-revised RiverFest Music & Arts Festival in the amount of $48,000.00. The City is authorized pursuant to Sec. 17-3-1 and 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. D. ID-18-0477 Approve Addition of Jerry Tullos to the Water Treatment Plant - Request for Proposal Committee On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Addition of Jerry Tullos to the Water Treatment Plant - Request for Proposal Committee. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. E. ID-18-0479 Approve request for sponsorship in the amount of $250.00 from Warren County Bulls Basketball Team for their AAU Program pursuant to Sections 17-3-1 and 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code, on behalf of Keshawn Brown Mayor Flaggs stated that purchasing an advertisement from Warren County Bulls Basketball Team will bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and resources of the City of Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the moral, financial and other interest of the City of Vicksburg. On motion of Mayor Flaggs, seconded by Alderman Mayfield, and unanimously passed, The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of a sponsorship ad from the Warren County Bulls Basketball Team for their AAU Program on behalf of Keshawn Brown in the amount of $250.00. ID-18-0478 Approve Claims Docket The City Clerk presented the Docket of Claims numbering 144660 through 144666. On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve Claims Docket. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, and Alderman Monsour Jr. Adjournment There being no further business appearing, on motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, and unanimously passed.
