ID-20-0149 Promotion - Water Department (1) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Promotion of a Laborer in the Water Department from $8.85 ($8.76 + .09) per hour to a Serviceman in the Gas Department at $9.85 ($8.76 + $1.00 + .09) per hour, effective February 12, 2020. Employee will be going from a laborer in the Water Department to a Serviceman in the Gas Department with a $1.00 raise. ID-20-0150 Promotion - Fire Department (1) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Promotion of a Firefighter Paramedic III from $13.81 per hour to a Lieutenant Paramedic I at $14.96 per hour, effective February 12, 2020 in the Fire Department. ID-20-0151 Pay Adjustments - Ambulance Department (2) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustments of a Firefighter I from $9.53 per hour to Firefighter/Ambulance III at $11.42 per hour, effective February 12, 2020. Employee has completed requirements for probationary period and is assigned to an ambulance; a Firefighter I at $9.53 per hour to a Firefighter/Ambulance III at $11.42 per hour, effective February 12, 2020 in the Ambulance Department. Employee has also completed requirements of probationary period and is assigned to an ambulance. ID-20-0152 Suspension - Sewer Department (1) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Suspension of a Foreman for three (3) days, effective February 10, 2020 in the Sewer Department. Employee has three (3) unexcused absences. This is a violation of the City of Vicksburg's Attendance Policy and the Personnel Rules and Regulations 4.1 (i), (y) and (z). ID-20-0153 Suspension - Water Department (1) On motion of Alderman Mayfield, seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Suspension of a Foreman for two (2) days, effective February 10, 2020 in the Water Department. Employee was sent home due to him repeatedly cursing at supervisor, Victor Parson, after being asked not to curse again. Supervisor recommended two (2) days suspension without pay.
