ID-21-0906 Employee of the 3rd Quarter Sam Andrews is the Chief of Staff and Executive Assistant to Mayor Flaggs and was selected as the Employee of the 3rd Quarter for September 2021. Mr. Andrews was recognized by Deborah A. Nickson for serving in an exceptional manner by exemplifying outstanding service through his work while exhibiting a positive and supportive attitude. ID-21-0914 ADOPT AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 16-28 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF VICKSBURG BY ADDING SUBSECTION TO PROVIDE THAT DRAG RACING, BURNOUTS, AND DONUTS ARE RECKLESS DRIVING ON BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE STREETS AND PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PARKING LOTS AND TO PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF Attachments: Ordinance Burnouts-Donuts On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to adopt an Ordinance to Amend Section 16-28 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Vicksburg by adding subsection to provide that Drag Racing, Burnouts, AND Donuts are reckless driving on both public and private streets and public and private parking lots and to provide penalties for the violation thereof. The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether or not they should go into executive session.
