The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of a sponsorship ad from Vicksburg Daily News for COVID-19 Ordinance in the amount of $1,000.00. The Mayor and Aldermen thanked Ms. Mahoney for attending the meeting. B. ID-21-0941 Longevity Pay - Building Maintenance (1) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the .09 cent Longevity Pay for a Carpenter from $17.44 per hour to $17.53 ($17.44 + .09) per hour, effective September 14, 2021. Employee is entitled to an increase for five (5) years of service in the Building Maintenance Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. B. ID-21-0942 Pay Adjustment - Safety Department (1) On motion of Alderman Monsour, Jr., seconded by Alderman Mayfield, Sr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the $1.00 Pay Adjustment of a Safety/Human Resource Administrative Assistant from $15.18 per hour to $16.18 ($15.18 + $1.00) per hour, effective August 28, 2021. Per Interim Supervisor Policy, she will receive an additional $1.00 added to her base pay until the Director of Safety return in the Safety Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. C. ID-21-0938 Litigation Matter A Litigation Matter was discussed.
