Employee is entitled to a .09 cents increase for twenty (20) years of service. ID-21-1112 Longevity Pay - Fire Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the .06 cents Longevity Pay of a Firefighter from $13.25 ($13.06 + .06 + .06 + .07) per hour to $13.31 ($13.06 + .06 + .06 + .07 + .06) per hour, effective October 31, 2021. Employee is entitled to a .06 cents increase for twenty (20) years of service in the Fire Department. ID-21-1113 Pay Adjustment - Police Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of a FTO/Patrol Officer from $19.26 per hour to a Patrol Officer at $18.51 ($19.26 - .75) per hour, effective October 20, 2021. Officer is no longer serving as a FTO at the Police Department. The motion was adopted unanimously by the following vote: Aye: 3- Mayor Flaggs Jr., Alderman Mayfield Sr., and Alderman Monsour Jr. G. ID-21-1114 Pay Adjustment - Fire Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustment of a Captain V+6 from $17.89 ($17.64 + .25 long.) to $18.15 ($17.89 + .26) per hour, effective October 20, 2021 in the Fire Department. ID-21-1115 Termination - Recreation Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Termination of a Lifeguard effective October 25, 2021, in the Recreation Department. ID-21-1116 Termination - Fire Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Termination of a Probationary Firefighter, effective October 25, 2021 in the Fire Department. Employee did not meet requirements of his probation. Failed to fulfill Vicksburg Fire Department Standard Operating Guideline 9.1.1 which reads in part, "The entry-level firefighter must complete the following steps during a 12-month probationary period. Must successfully complete the Mississippi State Fire Acedemy NFAP 1001 course." Also, VFD SOG 9.1.3, which reads, "Each employee will have one (1) opportunity to successfully complete the Mississippi State Fire Academy 1001 course." He twice failed the pre-requisite Hazmat Awareness and Operations course.
