The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg approved the purchase of a sponsorship ad from Connecting the Dots Foundation, Inc. in the amount of $500.00 for "Women Providing Healing, Promotion Hope" Event 1/2 page ad. The City is authorized pursuant to Section 17-3-1 and Section 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended. G. ID-22-0259 Approve request for advertisement in the amount of $2,000.00 from Warren County Bulls for their AAU Basketball Program pursuant to Section 17-3-1 and Section 17-3-3 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended Attachments: Warren County Bulls Advertisement Mayor Flaggs stated that purchasing an advertisement from Warren County Bulls will bring into favorable notice the opportunities, possibilities and resources of the City of Vicksburg and will be helpful toward advancing the moral, financial and other interest of the City of Vicksburg. ID-22-0262 Approve Claims Docket The City Clerk presented the Docket of Claims numbering: 307140 for approval. Routine Agenda: A. ID-22-0249 Vigilant Health - Introduction of new clinic staff and update on extended hours and scheduling Attachments: Vigilant Health Ms. Laura Nail, of Vigilant Health, came before the Board to introduce the new clinic staff and update the Board on the extended hours and scheduling. The Mayor and Aldermen welcomed the new Vigilant staff and thanked Ms. Nail for attending the meeting. B. ID-22-0250 Discuss Vicksburg Convention Center Updates Ms. Erin Southard, of the Vicksburg Convention Center, came before the Board to inform the public of the upcoming events at the Vicksburg Convention Center for the month of March 2022 and invited the public to attend. The Mayor and Aldermen thanked Ms. Southard for attending the meeting. C. ID-22-0251 Discuss Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau Updates Ms. Laura Beth Strickland, of the Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, came before the Board to inform the public of the upcoming events at the Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau for the month of March 2022 and invited the public to attend. The Mayor and Aldermen thanked Ms. Strickland for attending the meeting. D. The Mayor and Aldermen discussed whether or not they should go into executive session. The motion was seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr. Upon vote being taken, the following voted aye: Mayor Flaggs, Alderman Mayfield, Alderman Monsour, Jr. The motion was adopted unanimously. ID-22-0275 Retro Pay - Sewer Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the $68.00 Retro Pay of a Laborer in the Sewer Department. Employee is entitled to this amount for holiday pay (02/21/2022; 8 hours) due to status change to full time on February 9, 2022. ID-22-0276 Pay Adjustment - Police Department (4) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Pay Adjustments of a Police Officer from $25.62 per hour to $25.82 ($25.62 + .20) per hour, effective March 4, 2022. Officer is entitled to an additional .20 cents per hour for seven (7) years of service; a Police Officer from $16.93 per hour to $17.13 ($16.93 + .20) per hour, effective March 25, 2022. Officer is eligible for one (1) annual increase; a Police Officer from $17.22 per hour to $17.42 ($17.22 + .20) per hour, effective March 25, 2022. Officer is eligible for one (1) annual increase; a Police Officer from $16.93 per hour to $17.13 ($16.93 + .20) per hour, effective March 25, 2022. ID-22-0279 Promotion - Recreation Maintenance (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Promotion of a Recreation Maintenance Technician from $20.81 ($20.72 + .09) per hour to a Maintenance Supervisor at $21.81 ($20.72 + .09 + $1.00) per hour, effective March 9, 2022. ID-22-0280 Promotion - Recreation Department (1) On motion of Mayor Flaggs, Jr., seconded by Alderman Monsour, Jr., the Mayor and Aldermen voted to approve the Promotion of an Inner City Youth Coordinator at $21.0456 to an Assistant Director at $22.836, effective March 9, 2022. Employee is being promoted to Assistant Recreation Director in the event that the director is out in the Recreation Department.
